For 30 plus years the Gulf Shores Lighthouse Motel was the go to family friendly, holiday destination of coastal Alabama. Slowly over the years pummeled by hurricanes, building codes and bigger business our little safe haven on the beach never recovered after hurricane Ivan in 2004. Today in its place looms the 251 room 18 story Lighthouse Condo. Purchased by a local citizen in 2004, the iconical lighthouse tower today rests peacefully on the property of a private residence.
